Cloud Folk was a liberation blow for Long Tall Jefferson. In search of a way out of the authenticity grind, he paired his folk songs with autotune, synthesizers and pumping beats. The result is a songwriter's album for the here and now, released in November 2021.
While Long Tall Jefferson had produced Cloud Folk largely on his own, new ideas opened up after the release. What would it sound like if these songs and sounds were deconstructed and reassembled by musical friends?
