Having immersed herself in the electronically infused soundscape of "Silent Violent", Hilke rediscovered the emotional richness of the piano's mechanical tones. The intimate felt piano sound became a source of inspiration, leading to regular sessions of dreamy improvisation sessions.
Enter "Paradoxes", the debut single from an upcoming album featuring acoustic reinterpretations of Hilke's earlier "Silent Violent" repertoire. The recurring pulse of a C note on the piano hovers between threat and lullaby, creating a delicate dance with Hilke's voice — simultaneously vulnerable and reassuring. The chords gradually intensify, building momentum, before cascading into a sea of arpeggios. Ultimately, the emotional journey finds a serene resolution in the last words of the song: "Keep your distance, enjoy the silence."
The complete album, titled "Piano Feroce", is set to release in mid-January.
